CAO is excited to announce we have received a 2011-2013 United States Citizenship and Immigration Services citizenship education grant from the Department of Homeland Security. This funding allows CAO to provide citizenship and civics-focused ESL classes to hundreds of African legal permanent residents per year, free of charge. For many immigrants, citizenship is the ultimate attainment of the American dream, and CAO is excited to support them on their paths to responsible citizenship.
